my goals list

Just over a year ago I wrote a list of things that I wanted to accomplish. I went back today to have a look at what I’ve done, where I’ve been in the last year, and there are actually some very big goals that I have achieved.

Like learning to drive. It wasn’t very big for most of you out there, but it was, and still is pretty much every time I get into a car, a huge struggle for me. But I’ve had my license for a year now, and that is something I’m quite proud of.

Doing my CPR course. One of those things I’d always intended to do, but never gotten around to. Well I did it, and will have to continue doing it for the rest of my life. Woo.

Help deliver a baby was on that list. I have done that over and over and over again in the last few months. I’m not sure that it gave me quite the thrill that I was expecting, but it feels good to have achieved such a big thing.

This time around I added quite a few things to my list.
Build a piece of furniture.
Sew a baby blanket.
Give away $1000.
Buy a house.
Do an SBS.
Celebrate our Anniversary (This will be our third coming up, and to date, we have not done anything for them.)
Take piano lessons & Get Nathan swimming lessons.

Important ones on there that I still need to get into gear with.
Writing my will.
Learning how to change a tire (I know, pathetic little miss right here.)
Keep a journal for one year.
Read my bible from front to back.
Complete a uni degree.

Anway, there are lots more, but I am getting there. Things are taking more time now, with my full time study load, and being a mummy. One thing I have noticed is that I don’t do much for fun anymore. The times when I am laughing and enjoying myself are few and far between. That’s both with myself and with my family. I don’t know if I have done a very good job of creating memories this year, which I do regret. But little squirrel will be joining us next year, and my uni won’t be quite so time consuming, and maybe some of those things will come around.
