Kick Start

Some days just don’t work out how you plan them.  Today we arrived at swimming to discover that last week was the final one, not this week.  Then we went to Laidley pool because Nathan was so excited to go swimming and I just didn’t have the heart to let him down.  There was school swimming lessons on so we just paddled in the baby pool.  Coming home, the kids wouldn’t sleep at the same time, Nathan wouldn’t sleep at all and consequently the play which we were going to see tonight had to be put off because he needed an early bedtime.

I wish it wasn’t so hot so that I could unwind.  I know it sounds ridiculous, but it’s easier to relax if it’s cold.

Elisha had his first meal with us as a family tonight.  He had a biscuit which Nathan fed him for breakfast (Nathan got a bit of a blasting for nearly causing him to choke) and then we started him with mango for afternoon tea.  This evening he sat in the bumbo and munched on banana while we ate Nachos.  He was just so thrilled to be involved in our what the big people were doing.

I’m going to try and kick start this journal of sorts again.  Tim and I have both been all over the place mentally and emotionally and it would probably do me some good to start recording things, and processing things.
