Early Days

The days here are
frantic.  We are moving out of our rental in a week, so its been a mad
rush packing and cleaning before we head back over to Queensland.
We have had our baby.  He’s a little boy, Nathan Ezekiel Toby White.
Born 20th April, four days before his due date.  I gave birth in the
birthing pool, at 12.27 after 11hours of labour.  He was 55cm long and
8lb (3.625kg).  So he’s now three weeks old and 4.25kg, putting on
weight quite quickly.
He’s been fantastic to have around.  He’s really content and happy,
and he sleeps at night really well.  He’s a speed feeder as well,
which means that when he wakes at night, I’m only awake for about
twenty minutes at a time.  He feeds for ten minutes tops, burps for
ten, and then goes straight back to sleep. He’s getting plenty though,
and gaining weight fine.  Because he was feeding so quickly, he was
very fussy after feeds for the first week, just with stomach pain, but
he’s gotten more used to it now, which is great.
So thats been really helpful seeing as we are SOOO busy.
